Our aim is to empower the UK’s decisions around property. Their sophisticated, yet simple, property search platform makes it easy for home hunters to find their ‘happy’.

Rightmove is the UK’s number one property portal and operates a two-sided network. On one side we have the UK’s largest and most engaged property audience and on the other side we have the largest inventory of properties.

Rightmove.co.uk was started in 2000 by the top four corporate estate agencies at the time: Countrywide, Connells, Halifax and Royal and Sun Alliance

The service offering was extended to new homes developers in 2002 and in 2004 we began charging lettings agents.

In 2007 we first introduced property advertising products allowing our agents and new homes developers to differentiate their properties on site with a further suite of display advertising products being launched in late 2010 allowing our customers to promote their brand and talk about themselves in a format similar to traditional newspaper advertising. Today our advertising products account for over a third of our total revenues.

In 2009 we introduced our first mobile app with nearly a third of our searches today being performed on mobile devices.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY REDRESS SCHEME

The Property Redress Scheme is a new, straightforward and easy to use consumer redress (ombudsman) scheme for Property Agents and Professionals.

The main purposes of the Property Redress Scheme are to allow Agents to comply with their legal requirement to be a member of a government authorised consumer redress scheme and to settle or resolve complaints made by consumers against our Members.

Our Members and consumers will both benefit from our simple three stage process to resolve the complaint:

  • The Member will first be given an opportunity to resolve the complaint directly
  • The Property Redress Scheme offers a mediation service
  • The Property Redress Scheme Ombudsman will make a binding decision on the complaint

THE ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Property Redress Scheme has appointed an independent Advisory Council consisting of industry experts who will both guide and scrutinise the work of the Property Redress Scheme.

We are the national charity for homeless people. We help people directly out of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to solve it altogether.

We work side by side with people to help them rebuild their lives. From decades of experience of working with thousands of homeless people, we know what’s needed to leave homelessness behind for good. We use this experience to shape the services we provide and the changes we campaign for.

When you are homeless, making a new start can seem out of reach. But we know differently. The advice and support Crisis offers has helped thousands of people out of homelessness and on to whole new lives already.

Every bit of our work is integrated, and all contributes to our purpose of ending homelessness. The services we provide are carefully informed through our decades of experience of working with homeless people, and the research we’ve carried out over the years. Our research is driven by our knowledge from working side-by-side with homeless people every day. And this influences our campaigning for permanent change.

Our services

We support people out of homelessness for good. We do this through education, training and support with housing, employment and health.
We offer one to one support, advice and courses for homeless people in 12 areas across England, Scotland and Wales.

Housing

We help homeless people find and keep a rented home. We do this by working with landlords to ensure a supply of places to live, and giving homeless people the tools and knowledge they need to rent successfully.

Research and campaigning

We carry out pioneering research into the causes and consequences of homelessness, and campaign for the changes needed to end it for everyone, for good.

 

Homelessness is not inevitable. With collective action and political will, we can solve homelessness once and for all.

Through our 50-year history of pioneering research and supporting thousands of people out of homelessness, we know more than ever about the causes of homelessness and what it will take to end it.
